The Pill Club

User Research & Product Design Project, 2021

A semester-long research project for my human-computer interaction course, instructed by Dr.Ray Lutsky. The project is composed of conducting an initial usability evaluation, defining the persona, creating a social media campaign, and proposing a new feature that tackles the user pain points.

part 1: usability evaluation

The Pill Club(TPC) is an online subscription service aimed at making basic reproductive healthcare more accessible to young girls. For this project, I will be analyzing the experience of patients trying to prescribe and purchase oral contraceptives, which are more commonly known as birth control pills.

Current challenges

  • lack of knowledge and guidance on contraceptives

  • expensive options at the pharmacy

  • Limited traveling options - esp during the pandemic

  • awkwardness

TPC achieved...

  • Easy access to medical professionals

  • Convenient and non-time-consuming

  • Lower financial burden

  • Protection of privacy

My campaign is designed for acquiring new users.

For organic UGC, I focused on sharable content like for example the Twitter meme or the Instagram influencer giveaway. These are great ways to increase engagement and help the brand have a wider reach.

Paid advertisements are more straightforward in explaining the perks of the service in order to capture viewers' attention. I used GIFs for both Facebook and Twitter to make graphics more eye-catching.

Easy tracking and reminder for daily doses
