The Pill Club
User Research & Product Design Project, 2021
A semester-long research project for my human-computer interaction course, instructed by Dr.Ray Lutsky. The project is composed of conducting an initial usability evaluation, defining the persona, creating a social media campaign, and proposing a new feature that tackles the user pain points.

part 1: usability evaluation
The Pill Club(TPC) is an online subscription service aimed at making basic reproductive healthcare more accessible to young girls. For this project, I will be analyzing the experience of patients trying to prescribe and purchase oral contraceptives, which are more commonly known as birth control pills.
Current challenges
-
lack of knowledge and guidance on contraceptives
-
expensive options at the pharmacy
-
Limited traveling options - esp during the pandemic
-
awkwardness
TPC achieved...
-
Easy access to medical professionals
-
Convenient and non-time-consuming
-
Lower financial burden
-
Protection of privacy
part 2: persona
part 3: social media campaign

For organic UGC, I focused on sharable content like for example the Twitter meme or the Instagram influencer giveaway. These are great ways to increase engagement and help the brand have a wider reach.
Paid advertisements are more straightforward in explaining the perks of the service in order to capture viewers' attention. I used GIFs for both Facebook and Twitter to make graphics more eye-catching.
part 4: proposed new feature -- TPC Mobile App
easier access to personal information and community
Mobile access that helps users stay logged in and updated on their prescription and shipment details on the go
Easy tracking and reminder for daily doses
Alarm and calendar functions to help users better keep track of their current menstrual cycle, and their status of pill intake
Lo-Fi wireframes
Mid-Fi wireframes & iterations
High-Fi wireframes
Home Screen
Users can set their own alarms to notify them about their daily intake of oral contraceptives. Wordings are vague to protect privacy

Users can customize their profile and make changes to their subscriptions, insurance, payment options, and shipping address/dates.
Settings Page
Users can easily manage and update their personal information such as billing address, contact info, etc. through this page.
